Hangman's Knot

Burn Wheelock stared at the dangling well-worn boots as they turned in a slow circle and then slowly unwound. This was his first lynching, and he didnt like it. He was new at the YBar, but he had seen enough his own foreman had hit him and taken his new rope to end the mans life. He wanted out, and nothing could stop him . . . nothing but his rope dangling from the neck of the hanged man. Hed already seen what frontier justice could do . . .
