'Will have readers asking questions and craving answers throughout.' Thomas Waugh
What do you do when someone you'd thought dead for thirty years thrusts their way back into your life?
Dr Richard Tregenna realises that the aggressive patient he saw that afternoon was in fact Marty, his best friend at school when they were seventeen.
The problem is that Marty disappeared during a group holiday on the Dorset coast and was never seen again. Marty was eventually declared dead.
Back in the present, a man is found murdered in his hotel. The only clue is an appointment card from Richard's clinic.
It's Marty, of course.
With DI Magregor investigating, Richard's life goes into freefall as he tries to piece together the truth.
Who was Marty, and how did he go from arty rebel to murdered drug courier?
And how could he die twice?
Andrew Puckett was born in Sherborne, Dorset. He has worked in various hospitals in Taunton, London and Oxford, and in the latter city was for many years microbiologist at the Blood Transfusion Centre. He now lives in Taunton with his wife and two daughters.
