Master of Malcarew

When Helen receives a plea for help from her old college friend, Margaret, she travels at once to Malcarew. Grudgingly received at the brooding old house by the brothers Roland and Patrick, Helen is drawn into a complicated web of evil, involving not only Roland's wife and Patrick's fiancee, but other inhabitants of the rural community, who seek to re-enact an ancient wickedness. But it is on the downs above Malcarew that Helen, at last, learns the true nature of the master of Malcarew.
