Why the Ghost Cat Wore Rubies

"I'll tell you a secret," young Hattie said. "That woman, Madame de Ville, is actually a witch." Ha! thought Merissa, nearly thirteen. The kid's delusional! But as the summer progressed, disturbing things got darker and darker. The Cat Chateau, where Merissa was staying with her mother, an actress performing at the Cat Chateau theater, was becoming a place whose evil past crept into Merissa's mind and seemed bent on claiming her. Most threatening of all was the ghost cat which stole the ruby necklace with deadly purpose in mind. Could Merissa fight her way back to her normal world?
