On the trail of a bank robber, Rusty comes upon a man being assaulted by three others. His sense of fair play causes him to intervene, and he chases the assailants off. The victim, Martin Huxley, a paleontologist from Ohio, has discovered the bones of a dinosaur that others, working for various museums, seek to take from him to sell to their employers. Rusty has no idea why old bones would be worth the effort but he hates to see people taken advantage of, so when Huxley offers to hire him for protection, he accepts. In short order, Rusty finds himself immersed in a byzantine affair with opposing forces pitted against each other in a high-stakes game of ‘who owns the bones.’
The odds are stacked against him, but Rusty is not one to back down from a fight when he believes right is on his side.
