In February 1969, Staff Sergeant Jake Ward and his reconnaissance team, RT Bowie, are sent into the notorious Parrot’s Beak area of eastern Cambodia to locate and destroy a suspected enemy communications facility. Within minutes of leaving the helicopters, they discover that they’ve lost the ability to communicate with their headquarters in Loc Ninh or to call for helicopters to lift them out of the jungle. Faced with a choice, Ward decides to press on with the mission. North Vietnamese Senior Colonel Vo Thanh Viet is in command of an elite unit of soldiers whose mission it is to protect the site and to capture any of the American reconnaissance men who come near.
Cut off from the outside world, Ward and Vo engage in a game of cat and mouse, with the clock ticking as each races to complete his mission.
