When Bass Reeves and Henry Lone Tree separate from the rest of the posse to track down a gang of rustlers who have entered the area of Indian Territory reserved for the Comanche and Kiowa, they encounter a young woman, Alice Monroe, who tells them she has escaped from a settlement where she and other women are held captive by a group called the Reapers headed by a man known as the elder.
As they’re breaking camp, they’re accosted and kidnapped by a band of men from the settlement and taken back along with Alice. Bass and Henry manage to escape, but before resuming their hunt for the rustlers decide to free the Reapers’ captives.
