When Bass reports for duty one day at the marshal’s office in Muscogee, instead of being sent out into the territory to capture wanted fugitives, he’s assigned duty undercover to identify and locate a gang of newcomers who have been causing trouble. They discover, though, that it’s a sight more than just making trouble that has brought them to town and now comes the challenge of dealing with them.
