There are more frightening things than Death, and what follows it could bring one country to its knees.

In Emrys, no one celebrates the end of the year with fireworks or champagne. They lock their doors and hide, hoping to escape the Unseen Hour with their lives intact. During this cursed time, when one year flips to the next, anyone who ventures outside is taken, leaving nothing but a shell of a body behind.

Three years after her father disappears during the Unseen Hour, Celia is determined to go after him. As no body was ever found, she is convinced he is still out there and that she can rescue him if she can manage to be taken without dying. After careful study of long-forgotten journals, she believes she has found a way.

When Celia arrives in the Ether, her father isn’t there waiting, but Orion is. He vows to help her find a way back to Emrys and put a stop to the Unseen Hour once and for all. As they plot, Celia realizes much of what she knew about herself, her family, and even Death has been a lie. When she finally returns home, she may have to choose between the family she planned to save and the man she’s come to love.

The Unseen Hour is the first book in the Unseen Hour Duology, a gothic-inspired romantasy.
