J. Todd Scott was born in rural Kentucky and attended college and law school in Virginia, where he set aside an early ambition to write to pursue a career as a federal agent. His assignments have taken him all over the U.S and the world, but a badge and gun never replaced his passion for books and writing. He now resides in the American Southwest, and when he's not hunting down very bad men, he's hard at work on his next book.

J Todd Scott recommends
Two Good Men (2024)
S E Redfearn
"S. E. Redfearn's Two Good Men is compulsive and compelling. A powerful meditation on good vs. evil, right vs. wrong, and justice vs. vengeance. It leaves the reader with far more questions than answers, while fearlessly asking the hard ones anyway. Suspenseful, uncompromising, and timely; don't miss it."
Boys in the Valley (2023)
Philip Fracassi
"Fracassi's tale casts a black spell...exploring the limits of faith, the bonds of brotherhood, the loss of childhood, and the extremes of evil."
The Nightmare Man (2023)
J H Markert
"J. H. Markert's The Nightmare Man is tense, taut, and terrifying. Full of long-buried secrets, family sins, and monsters both human and otherwise, this haunting tale is equal parts crime novel, horror story, and dark fable. I can't wait to read whatever nightmare Markert unleashes next . . ."
