When she was seven, she read her first Nancy Drew story and was hooked on mystery stories forever.
Until 2004, Jackie considered herself a true city girl, and then she emigrated to Canada and settled on Vancouver Island. She is now married to Bob, a commercial fisherman and accomplished storyteller – like most fishermen!
She loves to write warm cozy mystery stories, the kind you can read with a large mug of tea and a slice of cake on a rainy afternoon, and historical crime fiction too.
Jackie is passionate about local history, and her ideas are often prompted by an afternoon browsing around a museum, or by digging back into her own family history.
When she is not writing or reading, you’ll find Jackie waging war with the weeds in her garden, hanging out at the beach, or volunteering for the local Maritime Society.
