Camilla Powers (Boone Cassidy's widowed sister from Wanted: Bounty Hunter) has traveled all the way to Silverpines, Oregon from Louisiana and arrived just in time for Boone and Rachel's wedding. She's brought with her their sassy southern Mama, her own precious four-year-old, Lucy, and a sizable chip on her shoulder against the uppity ways of rich folks. She's poor, proud, and southern and has no plans of changing. Until a shady fellow from the bayou shows up in town, threatening everyone and everything she holds dear...At Boone's insistence, she lingers in Silverpines for their collective safety - long enough, as it turns out, for Lucy to become the darling of the Silverpines Finishing School for Young Ladies. What's even worse than Lucy's swift transformation into a proper young debutante is the way Camilla finds herself inexplicably attracted to the big, rugged, and not-so-socially polished Schmidt Barnes, Boone's partner from his bounty hunting days. He's been called into town to help them investigate the growing threats against her and Lucy. Why doesn't anyone besides her seem to recognize the threats the brawny gunslinger poses to her proud and independent heart?
