"Better Late" is the story of six women, living amongst the picturesque towns of The Berkshires. They are married, divorced, widowed and single and they are all learning that love and, yes, even sex, can indeed be Better Late.
Kathy is a spinster, not that her friends would ever use that unkind word to describe her. Still living at home with her critical and religious elderly mother, Kathy is overweight and pays little attention to how she looks. Her friends have always wondered why Kathy avoids romantic intimacy and whisper she might even be a virgin. But the startling revelation that Kathy has an adult son she was forced to give up for adoption decades ago, forces a complete re-evaluation. Pressed into reconnecting with the son she never knew, Kathy finds herself drawn to the man's adoptive father, the widowed Joe.
