The war is heating up, WMDs have been used by the Chinese and they've blamed the American insurgents. The UN has triggered two nuclear reactors that have spread radioactive material across two of America's major cities. The UN blamed the insurgents. They hoped to convince the UN General Assembly to create a large army to invade America and destroy the insurgents.
The Chinese and UN had a secret plan to break America up thus she would never be a 'threat' to their dream of controlling the world. The UN and Chinese wanted to jump-start their 'Great Reset" that would give them total control over the world's population. The UN counted on China's development of new COVID strains to control the world's population so they were manageable by the UN. The UN didn't know the Chinese planned to depopulate most of the controlling members of the UN so the world would be under Chinese control.
The Chinese wanted every ounce of food America and Canada could supply their people were starving to death due to the worst famine in China's history. The insurgents created a Chinese insurgency to keep the Chinese occupied.
Each side threatened the other with WMD while the Chinese rushed to deploy a new, very deadly COVID strain. They were fine with it killing most of the Americans whom they now considered ungovernable.
Book 8 continues the story of the Ghost, Generals Gogson and Roberts, the Indians, and the battle to save America. Note, some have thought this was the last book in the series, it's not. There's at least one more book to come.
