NOTE, this is a story set at the end of the Behind Every Blade of Grass series. It can be read as a stand alone but I suggest you have read that series first.
Second Note, This is NOT a PC story.

Tom Ring, the leader of the Smoky Mountain Militia that played a key role in the war against the Chinese and UN in the Behind Every Blade of Grass universe is invited to be a special guest on the Tucker Carlson Tonight program. One night turned into two weeks. Tom spoke about the war, and how his militia fought in it and why they were selected for some very difficult missions. The audience loved it. Tucker's ratings broke all of his earlier records. In addition, the show's producer had Tom sign an agreement he wouldn't appear on any other program without their permission while he was a guest on Tucker's show thus ensuring high ratings.
Near the end of the second week of the show a surprise friend of Tom's appeared, Rick Adams, the leader of the Sons of Liberty militia. One of the oldest militias in the country. One that could trace it's history to the 1776 and the Boston Tea Party they they were responsible for. Tucker had the only show with not one, but two militia leaders who'd fought in the war against the Chinese and the UN. The producer was overjoyed when right after Tom was booked for another week his mentor Ghost called with a special request.
The CIA and overhead spy satellites discovered a Chinese base in Central Mexico. Ghost asked Tom if he could assemble a small team and attach themselves to an NGO operating in the area. The NGO was picked because Tom knew the leader of the organization from the war.
Tom accepted the mission, it turned out to be one that changed his life forever.
The story of the war is told through the eyes of the Smoky Mountain Militia leader who was active in the war.
