SYNOPSIS: "As a senior civil servant in the Foreign Office, Hugo Bannister is highly respected. Unfortunately, he is keeping company with Ray Chivers whose involvement in a burglary resulted in a policeman's death which has forced Ray to go into hiding. Hugo helps Ray maintain a low profile but then Ray is murded and 50,000 pounds of stolen gold Krugerrands disappears. Detective Chief Inspector Jack Rudd must solve the crime even after discovering his own colleagues may be involved."
