Gold and Silver: A Robber's Paradise
(2021)(Book 96 in the Tales of the Old West series)
A novel by Paul L Thompson
Gold was the driving force for mass migration in the United States from 1849 at Sutter’s Mill and into the 1880’s in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. In no time small settlements of a few people became a city of thousands. Those people needed supplies, food and clothing. Transportation was the number one issue. Every gold, silver and copper mining town, train and stage coach were a robber’s paradise. So much gold and silver, so many gangs to try and steal it.
