Reluctant Be Jack

In the seventh book of the Cap’s Place Series, Jack Nolan is pulled into the efforts to locate the missing niece of his friend and employee, Moe. Jack believes that a little sleuthing will likely locate the University of Miami coed, safe and sound. Each step of the search reveals elements of a darker picture.

Jack grudgingly admits that, given Moe’s past, the criminal justice system will likely not be responsive enough to act with the speed necessary to save the young woman’s life. In the midst of final preparations to reopen his bar, rebuilt after a hurricane, Jack finds himself traveling to Aruba in an effort to rescue the woman from sex traffickers.

The pursuit escalates into a life and death battle with Russian mobsters and South American drug cartels. In the continuing evolution of his personal code, Jack takes actions that would have been anathema to him during his years as a prosecuting attorney.
