It's Yuletide season in Fable Wood, which means sleigh rides (pulled by dragons), double chocolate peppermint cookies, and … murder.
Gardenia Crescent, a powerful artifact witch, is back in Fable Wood, ready to use her latest discovery from an archaeological dig in New Orleans. She’s found an ancient orb that reveals hidden spells within grimoires, including one she desperately needs to lift the curse from the town's dragons.
First, she must gather difficult ingredients, including one hidden beneath her cousin Tessa's restaurant. But before Gardenia can dig it up, someone else beats her to it, snatching it away.
Then, during the midnight festivities, someone croaks—literally turning into a frog before dying. Warren, Gardenia's skeptical yet charming boyfriend, is convinced a nefarious witch is behind the murder. Gardenia agrees, suspecting the crime is tied to the stolen ingredient.
As tensions rise, more townsfolk turn into frogs. Deputy Ravena flings accusations wildly, arresting Tessa's husband.
However, when he and Tessa also become frogs, it’s clear there’s a more sinister plot afoot.
Now, it’s a race against time. Gardenia must find the culprit, cure the froggies, reverse the dragon curse, and solve the murder before anyone else croaks.
