Bethany and the queen are too scared to come out from their hiding spot. One of the spells that Bethany had found in a book and very slowly a silver ring appears in front of her, floating in front of her and she grabs it before it can disappear. If she can grab the ring, she can bring it into their reality and she can have Jacob wear it. She tells him to slip it on and he does just that, he cries out in pain at first, and then when the pain dies down, he looks at it. He doesn’t know the markings on it, there are just two sets of teeth. Normal on one side and sharp on the other etched into the ring.
The Queen asks Bethany what’s in that ring. There is a small clear circle in the middle of the ring It’s a green liquid and at first Bethany doesn’t’ answer her until the queen demands it of her.
Bethany must confess that Jacob was born with his condition. Somehow, some way Jacob is part Vampire part human and that��s why the sun was killing him slowly, burning him, it was how he could heal so quickly, and she asked Jacob to open his mouth. Jacob does so slightly as they watch his teeth change.
Jacob is just as confused as everyone else. He doesn’t know how he had gotten the teeth; he knew that his mouth had hurt a lot at sunset. The prince of Flames doesn’t know what to think and when he looks at the queen for answers, he can see just by looking at her face that she has hidden a lot of things from them, she had hidden a lot since she was captured and put into the dark woods.
In the kingdom, the king thinks that Shelby is crazy, that there is no way that there are vampires. There hadn’t been any vampires since he was younger, even then he found it hard to believe that they even existed because he had never seen one.
How is Jacob going to break the news about him and his teeth changes ? Are the king and queen prepared for Jacob;s news and the unknown
