It was news to the queen that Jacob was half vampire. She had believed Dark Of Knight when he had told her that he had cast a spell on their son. She believed him because he had never lied to her before. Bethany knows that the vampires are coming because of the marks that she had seen on Jazz. She is turning into a vampire if she hadn’t already turned into vampires and either the witches were keeping her secret, or the vampires were making sure that she couldn’t warn anyone.
Bethany tells them that she doesn’t know where the werewolves come in. She has to find a book in the woods that will tell her about the werewolves. She had to find the tree of spells and she was sure that she would find the answers that she was looking for.
Bethany casts a spell over Jacob so that no one can smell what he is. She can smell him, and she knows that if she can smell him then the witches of the woods would be able to as well and there would be no time to explain what he was.
Jacob is scared, he’s worried ....
