Slowly coming around her face hurt.

For a moment she couldn't remember what happened and then it came flooding back. The shadow lying over her a strong reminder. He was bleeding. Badly. Glancing around she saw the three bodies on the floor. They'd come charging in as she was doctoring him. He'd been in a battle. Helping him to the bed the raiders burst in. His leg was nearly clean off. Even so, the Empire male took on all three as she evaded strikes grabbing an injector slamming it in to one that was about to stab him in the back.

The raiders last effort throwing out a fist that collided with her face, she went down just as hard as he had. She guessed the raider didn't like being jabbed.

"You are well female?" His voice warming, his weight braced over her.
"Better."
"Your face?"
"Will mend."
Rolling off her she saw the stab wounds in his back.
Had he been stabbed trying to protect her? Ignoring her face she got to work doctoring. "It is safe here now," he told her. "But there are other raiders in the hospital."

"The other patients. They are defenceless!"
"My men are on it."
"But the raiders will kill them."
"True. We do what we can." Getting up he grabbed two swords, the wounds on his chest closed before her eyes.
Neat Trick. That had to be his nanos at work. "We need to move. Quietly."

Taking her arm he led her down the corridor. Silently and slowly checking each door and room as they passed. "I cannot leave the patients." She whispered.
"Their fate is set." Finding a supply room he maneuvered her into it. "You will stay here. I cannot fight and be concerned for you."
"You can't leave me here I have work to do!" Shutting the door in her face, she stepped back.
"You will be safe here." The door lock crushed. She was locked in.

"Let me out! I need to doctor people!" She said as loud as she dare.
"No. You will remain here. I will be back and then you can play doctor again."

"Play doctor?! Are you serious? I am a doctor!"

"Good. When I come back you can tend my wounds and my body....."
